November 2026 is a big month for romantasy and an even bigger one for anyone who grew up on Shadowhunters. Cassandra Clare kicks off the final Shadowhunter trilogy on November 3, Rebecca Yarros has a brand-new standalone romance (already optioned by Apple TV) on November 17, and Holly Black, Abigail Owen, Nora Roberts, Elena Armas, and TJ Klune all have new books out too.
We're heading to the beach in November, so I'll be loading up my new Kindle with way too many of these and pretending I'll have lots of reading time. (We all know I'll be lucky to finish one book.)
Same format as last month: the two most anticipated books are up top, and everything else is sorted by release date, so you can see exactly what lands each Tuesday. Still catching up? The October 2026 releases are on shelves now, including ACOTAR 6.
Heads up: some of the links in this post are affiliate links. If you buy through one I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Thank you for helping support my book loving habits.
🎁 This month's giveaway: comment the November release you're most excited for at the bottom of this post to enter. One winner gets a copy of the book they named. Entries close November 30th. US and Canada, 18+. Full rules at the bottom.
📱 Plus, the Kindle Colorsoft giveaway opens this month. I bought a second Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition to give away, and newsletter subscribers hear first. Everything about the new Kindle is in my Kindle Colorsoft 2026 guide.
The Two Most Anticipated November 2026 Book Releases
If you only make room for two books this month, make it these two.
The Last King of Faerie by Cassandra Clare Book Cover
The Last King of Faerie by Cassandra Clare
Preorder: Amazon | Bookshop.org | Audible
Genre: YA Romantasy (The Wicked Powers, Book 1)
Dru Blackthorn is in her fourth year at Shadowhunter Academy when a night at a club ends with her kidnapped by Prince Ash Morgenstern and held prisoner in Faerie, a place as beautiful as it is deadly. She's drawn to Ash and the darkness around him, and one wrong move could cost her everything. Meanwhile, a disappearance rocks the Shadowhunter world, and Kit Herondale and Ty Blackthorn have to put their history aside to go after it together.
This is the first book of The Wicked Powers, the trilogy that brings the whole Shadowhunter Chronicles to an end. If you read The Mortal Instruments in high school, this is your sign to come back. Dru, Kit, Ty, and Ash were all introduced in The Dark Artifices, so that trilogy (starting with Lady Midnight) is the best reread before November 3.
📌 Why you'll love it:
- It's the beginning of the end for a series that started with City of Bones in 2007.
- A kidnapped heroine and a dangerous faerie prince is a premise built for this blog's readers.
- Kit and Ty finally get their quest, and fans have been waiting years for it.
Out November 3, 2026 (Knopf Books for Young Readers).

Yarros calls it a castaway romance, and Apple TV has already picked up the rights. It's a standalone, not an Empyrean book, so if you're still waiting on Fourth Wing book 4, here's everything we know about Fourth Wing book 4. And if you missed it in September, here's my guide to Threshing Day.
📌 Why you'll love it:
- It's a Rebecca Yarros book, so the emotional damage is guaranteed.
- Forced proximity on a deserted island, with the one person she should not fall for.
- Read it before the Apple TV adaptation turns it into everyone's new obsession.
