Walk of Fame by debut author Christina Capri is a swoony, feel-good contemporary romance that leans fully into beloved tropes like he falls first, friends to lovers, and workplace romance all set against the glittering, chaotic backdrop of Hollywood.
Equal parts sweet and sexy, this slow-burn debut is the first book in Capri’s FAME series, and it’s an impressive start that romance readers are already buzzing about.
If you love romances with behind-the-scenes settings, palpable chemistry, and a hero who is completely gone for the heroine from page one, Walk of Fame deserves a spot on your TBR.
Book Summary: Walk of Fame
Emma Watts has never been particularly lucky. She works hard just to stay afloat, stuck in a monotonous routine that feels like she’s reliving the same day over and over again. On a whim and fueled by desperation for something different Emma auditions for a movie role she never expects to land.
Except… she does.
What starts as a fluke quickly snowballs into a full-fledged acting job that places Emma opposite Jacob Morrow, Hollywood’s newest heartthrob. Jacob is talented, charming, and devastatingly handsome, and suddenly Emma is trying to navigate a world she never planned to enter.
Jacob takes Emma under his wing, helping her learn the ropes of acting, filming, and yes—awkward, heart-racing love scenes. As their on-screen chemistry intensifies, the line between acting and real emotions begins to blur. Jacob’s character may be falling for Emma’s, but Jacob himself starts to realize there’s nothing fake about the way he feels.
As the two grow closer, Emma must decide whether she’s brave enough to risk her heart (and her career) while Jacob confronts the reality that sometimes the greatest role you’ll ever play is simply being honest about how you feel.

Walk of Fame Review
From the very first chapter, Walk of Fame is fun, heartfelt, and incredibly hard to put down. Christina Capri delivers a romance that balances emotional depth with playful banter and swoon-worthy tension, making this a book you’ll want to binge in one sitting.
The Characters
Emma is an instantly relatable heroine hardworking, self-doubting, and quietly resilient. Watching her step into an unfamiliar world and slowly grow into herself is deeply satisfying.
And then there’s Jacob Morrow.
Jake is the definition of he falls first and he falls hard. From page one, his admiration and protectiveness toward Emma is impossible to miss. He’s supportive without being overbearing, confident without being arrogant, and completely gone for her in a way that I know fellow romance readers will absolutely swoon over! I did!

Chemistry & Romance in Walk of Fame
The chemistry between Emma and Jake is off-the-charts. The slow burn is exquisitely paced, filled with lingering looks, loaded conversations, and moments that will have you internally screaming for them to just admit their feelings already.
The friends-to-lovers dynamic adds emotional weight, while the workplace romance tension (“we can’t, we work together!”) makes every interaction feel charged!
The dual POV was a standout element, giving readers insight into both Emma’s insecurities and Jake’s growing realization that he’s in deep. Their inner monologues are genuinely funny at times, adding levity and charm throughout the story.
Setting & Themes
The Hollywood setting offers a fun behind-the-scenes peek at the film industry, inspired loosely by the author’s own real-life experiences. It adds glamour without overshadowing the romance, grounding the story in authenticity rather than celebrity excess.
At its heart, Walk of Fame is about taking risks, believing in yourself, and allowing happiness when it finally comes knocking!
