Lana Ferguson is back with Overruled, and as always she’s bringing the heat! Like from PAGE ONE! This steamy contemporary romance pairs two fiercely competitive divorce lawyers on opposite sides of a high-stakes case, and the result is pure chemistry, chaos, and charm.
If you love tension-filled banter, spicy slow burns, and complex career-driven protagonists, Overruled deserves a top spot on your TBR!

Summary
Danica Pierce is laser-focused on her career. As one of Austin’s top divorce attorneys, she’s up for a major promotion if she can win this case. There’s just one complication: her opposing counsel is Ezra Hart, the annoyingly attractive, insufferably charming lawyer she’s secretly been hooking up with.
Ezra has always wanted more than a fling with Dani, but she’s kept him strictly at arm’s length. Now, as they battle it out in court by day and give in to temptation by night, the lines between enemies and lovers begin to blur.
With personal baggage and family drama on both sides, Dani and Ezra have to decide if they’re willing to risk more than just the case… and possibly their hearts.

Review
4 Stars | Professional rivals |Enemies with benefits | He falls harder
Overruled BRINGS the spice, literally from page one, but don’t let that fool you. Beneath the heat, these characters are layered, vulnerable, and refreshingly complex!
Danica is whip-smart, driven, and emotionally guarded. Ezra is her perfect match: slight arrogant and playful but never cruel. Their dynamic is electric, filled with biting wit and explosive chemistry.
The courtroom drama is compelling, but it’s the emotional stakes that give this book real depth. Dani’s family dysfunction and Ezra’s own guarded heart provide real insight into why these two are the way they are. Watching them slowly chip away at each other’s defenses is SO satisfying!
Bonus points go to the supporting cast—particularly Nate and Vera, whose flirtatious tension is so good. (please give them their own book!) The humor is sharp, the spice is SPICY, and the emotional payoff? Totally worth the wait!
